FPD Conoscope Lens: Fast, Accurate View Angle Measurement from Lab to Line

Presentation - FPD Conoscope Lens Introduction

View angle can have a significant impact on the visual quality of a flat-panel display (FPD), manifesting in brightness, color, and contrast variations as the display is viewed at an increasing angle. These effects can be measured using a number of techniques, most traditionally by rotating the display or photo detector relative to one another. Greatly optimizing measurement efficiency, the FPD Conoscope Lens system from Radiant utilizes Fourier optics to capture a full cone of photopic and colorimetric data in a single measurement to ±70 degrees, giving you extremely fast, accurate results ideal for labs or in-line quality control.

In this presentation, you will learn about:

  • The Importance of View Angle in Determining Display Quality
  • The Trouble with Current View Angle Measurement Methods
  • The Solution: FPD Conoscope Lens Solution
  • Application Examples
  • Solution Specifications
